Setup Stash is built to help you improve a setup without losing history.
Instead of overwriting the previous file, changes are saved as a new version.
Open a setup
From the Stash library:
- Open a setup card
- Pick a version if needed
- Browse the setup values by category
The viewer is split into sections so it feels closer to LMU’s garage layout.
What you can edit
Supported adjustable settings show − / + controls.
These controls let you make small click-based changes and preview the result before saving it as a new version.
Important behavior
- Only supported adjustable values can be edited this way
- Some setup entries are view-only
- Stash editing saves a new version; it does not replace older history
Changed-only mode
When comparing your edited draft to the base version, you can focus on only the settings you changed. This is useful when you made a small targeted adjustment and do not want to scan the full setup.
Save as a new version
When you save:
- the original version stays untouched
- the adjusted setup becomes a new version
- you can add version notes
- you can later update best lap and game version
This makes it easier to track experiments like:
Spa quali baselineSpa quali v2 - 2 clicks rear wingSpa wet test after tire pressure change
Compare versions
Setup Stash supports:
- comparing two versions of the same setup
- comparing a version against another stash setup
Use compare when you want to answer:
- what changed from my baseline?
- how does this team-derived setup differ from mine?
- which version did I actually race?
Version metadata
For each version, you can maintain:
| Field | Why it helps |
|---|---|
| Notes | Remember what changed and why |
| Best lap | Tie the setup to a performance result |
| Game version | Record the LMU version used when testing |
Delete version
You can remove an individual version when it is no longer useful.
The last remaining version cannot be deleted on its own; in that case, you delete the whole setup entry instead.
Best practice
- Use notes whenever the change is not obvious
- Keep one personal reference setup per track + car
- Use compare before pushing to Team Setups
