Import Le Mans Ultimate session results to start building your session history.
Where files come from
LMU automatically saves a .xml file after every session to:
Le Mans Ultimate/UserData/Log/Results/
You do not need telemetry recording enabled — result files are always written.
Upload your first sessions
- Go to Dashboard → Sessions (or Dashboard → Home → Import Session Results)
- Drag XML files into the upload zone, or click to browse
- Wait for processing to complete
- New sessions appear in your history table
Select multiple files at once with Ctrl+A (Windows/Linux) or Cmd+A (Mac).
Before you import
- Set your Driver Name in Settings to match your in-game name exactly (case-sensitive)
- Enable the session type filter (Race, Qualifying, Practice) if you only want certain files
Limits
| Manual upload | Sync Agent | |
|---|---|---|
| Files per batch | 500 | No limit |
| Max file size | 10 MB | 10 MB |
For large backlogs, use the Sync Agent.
Driver matching
MyLMU attaches each file to your account by matching the driver name in the XML to Settings → Driver name. The name must match exactly — same spelling, case, spacing, and any #1234 suffix you use in Le Mans Ultimate.
If files are skipped with no matching driver:
- Open the XML and find your name in
<Driver>→<Name>...</Name> - Set Settings → Driver name to that value exactly
- Import again
Apostrophe variants are normalized; accents and unusual punctuation may still block a match — compare character by character or contact support if imports keep failing. Full detail: Driver matching.
Duplicates and common errors
MyLMU skips duplicates when track, car, session type, date, and finish position already match a session in your history. To re-import, delete the existing session first, then upload again.
| Issue | What to do |
|---|---|
| No matching driver | Fix driver name in Settings (see above) |
| Already imported | Duplicate — delete the session to re-import |
| File too large | Max 10 MB per manual upload |
| Too many files | Max 500 per batch — use the Sync Agent |
| No new sessions added | All files were duplicates or had no matching driver |
After upload, expand Error Details in the import panel for per-file reasons. More cases: Duplicates & troubleshooting.
