Each telemetry file has a Leaderboard visibility setting in Access. That controls who can see the lap on the Telemetry Leaderboard and open it to compare — separate from public share links.
Visibility options
| Setting | Who can see it | Plan |
|---|---|---|
| Public | Anyone signed in can see this lap on the leaderboard and compare it | Free + Pro |
| Friends | Only accepted friends can see and compare this lap | Pro |
| Private | Only you can see this file | Pro |
These are the labels in the Access dropdown. Free accounts can only use Public — choosing Friends or Private shows (Pro) and prompts an upgrade.
Change visibility
- Open Dashboard → Telemetry → Your files
- On the file card (or in list view), open the Access section
- Under Leaderboard, choose Public, Friends, or Private
New Free uploads stay Public. You can still open and analyze your own files in Your files no matter which visibility you pick.
Public share links vs leaderboard visibility
| Control | What it does |
|---|---|
| Leaderboard (Public / Friends / Private) | Who sees the lap on the telemetry leaderboard |
| Public link (Share link) | Anyone with the URL can open a read-only viewer — even without an account |
A file can be Private on the leaderboard and still have a public share link enabled (Pro), or the reverse. See Public share links.
Leaderboard eligibility
Only Public files can appear on the global telemetry leaderboard. The driver name in the recording must also match your MyLMU driver name. See Why you're not on the leaderboard.
Friends can still browse and compare your Friends visibility laps among themselves; those laps do not show on the global public board.
Pro expiration
When Pro ends:
- Friends and Private files reset to Public
- Public share links are turned off
Telemetry files stay on your account for a 60-day grace period after Pro expires. If you do not renew in that window, files may be deleted. See Free vs Pro limits and Terms.
Account Stats Visibility
Dashboard → Settings → Stats Visibility (Public / Private) controls session results, community career stats, and your driver profile. That is not the same as per-file telemetry Leaderboard visibility.
- Stats Visibility Private → hide community session/profile stats
- Telemetry Private (Pro) → hide that file from the telemetry leaderboard
