Race Schedule Reminders

Get reminded before online race sessions start — in-app, email, and Discord reminders, session times, lead times, quiet hours, and daily limits.

Last updated August 3, 2026

Summarize this page with AI

The Race Schedule page lists official multiplayer series, championships, and special events. Reminders tell you before a session you care about starts, so you do not have to keep the page open.

Reminders are personal — nobody else on MyLMU sees or receives them.

Setting a reminder

Open Dashboard → Schedule, find a session, then click the Remind me bell. The bell sits on the Next up card, on every row in List view, on each session in Day view, and in the session detail dialog.

The reminder panel has four choices:

ChoiceOptionsWhat it means
How oftenEvery session / Only this oneFollow the series forever, or set a one-off for this single session
Session timesThe times that series runsOnly shown when a series runs more than once a day
Notify me1d, 3h, 1h, 30m, 15m, 10m, 5m, 2mHow far ahead you want each reminder. Pick more than one
WhereIn-app, Email, DiscordAny combination — at least one must stay on

Click Save. The bell turns highlighted and reads Reminder on.

Every session vs only this one

  • Every session follows the series. New sessions added to the schedule are picked up automatically, including when the track rotates.
  • Only this one fires once for the exact session you clicked, then stops. Use it for a special event you do not want to follow long term. After that session ends, MyLMU removes the one-off from your Reminders list automatically (about an hour after the race finishes), so it does not keep counting toward your follow limit.

Picking session times

Some series run every few hours, all day. Reminding you about all of them would be noise.

When a series has several daily start times, the panel shows them as chips in your timezone. Leave them all unselected to be reminded about every session time, or pick only the ones you would actually race — for example just the 19:00 and 21:00 slots.

A chip marked +1 starts on the next day in your timezone.

Lead times

Each lead time you pick produces its own reminder. Choosing 1d and 30m means two reminders for the same session — one the day before, one half an hour out.

Where reminders arrive

ChannelCostWhere it shows up
In-appFree, unlimitedNotification bell at the top of the dashboard, plus a badge on Schedule in the sidebar
Email3 per day on Free, unlimited on ProYour inbox, with the session details and your history at that track
Discord3 per day on Free, unlimited on ProThe Discord channel you connect — see Personal Discord reminders

Opening the Schedule page clears the race schedule badge.

Reminder emails include the track, class, duration, Safety Rating requirement, setup type, and — when you have raced there before — your personal best, last result, and session count at that track. Each email has a one-click Unsubscribe link (and standard List-Unsubscribe headers) that turns off race schedule emails only — in-app and Discord alerts are unchanged. You can turn email back on anytime under Settings → Notifications.

Daily limits

Free accounts get 3 email and 3 Discord reminders per day. The two allowances are separate, so a Free account can receive 3 emails and 3 Discord messages in the same day. In-app reminders are always unlimited.

Pro removes both limits.

Both counters reset at 00:00 UTC. See your current usage under Dashboard → Settings → Notifications → Daily alert limit, which also shows the reset time.

When you run out for the day, the remaining reminders still arrive in-app and you get a single notice telling you the limit was reached. You will not be spammed with one notice per skipped reminder.

Managing your reminders

Two places:

  • Schedule page → Reminders — lists everything you follow. Pause a reminder to stop it temporarily without losing your settings, resume it later, or remove it entirely.
  • The bell on any session — reopens the panel for that series so you can change session times, lead times, or channels. The trash button removes the reminder.

You can follow up to 100 series and one-off sessions at a time.

Timezone, quiet hours, and preferences

All under Dashboard → Settings → Notifications → Race schedule alerts:

SettingWhat it does
In-app alertsMaster switch for the notification bell
Email alertsMaster switch for reminder emails
Discord alertsMaster switch for Discord — needs a webhook first
TimezoneUsed for reminder times, quiet hours, and the times printed in emails
Quiet hoursA nightly window where reminders are skipped instead of delivered

The master switches win over individual reminders: with Email alerts off, no reminder emails are sent even if a reminder has Email selected.

Your timezone carries over from the one you already picked on the Schedule page, so there is nothing to re-select.

How quiet hours behave

A reminder that would land inside your quiet window is skipped, not delayed — a 03:00 race start with a 1h lead time and a 23:00–08:00 quiet window means no reminder. A reminder waking you at 4am is worse than no reminder.

Quiet hours use your timezone, so the window follows you across daylight saving changes.

When the schedule changes

Official schedules move. MyLMU re-checks the schedule regularly and reacts for you:

  • Track rotated — a series you follow moved to a different track. You get an in-app notice naming the old and new track so you can decide whether to still race it.
  • Schedule changed — a session you had a reminder for is no longer on the schedule. The reminder is dropped and you are told in-app, instead of being reminded about a race that will not run.

Championship seasons and official special-event calendars also change over time. When a new season or calendar page goes live, MyLMU updates its schedule sources so the list stays current.

Timing

Each reminder is scheduled for its exact lead-time moment when you save it (or when the schedule updates). A 2m lead fires about two minutes before the session, not on the next background check. Treat lead times as "roughly this far ahead" — delivery can still land a few seconds either side.

Troubleshooting

ProblemThings to check
No reminder at allIs the bell highlighted (Reminder on)? Is the reminder paused in the Reminders panel? Are the master switches on in Settings?
Reminder for the wrong timeCheck your Timezone in Settings — reminder times, emails, and session time chips all follow it
Nothing for a busy seriesSession times may be narrowed to slots you no longer race. Clear the chips to get every session again
No emailDaily limit used up? Master Email alerts switch off? Landed in quiet hours?
No Discord messageSee Personal Discord reminders
Reminder skipped overnightExpected inside quiet hours — reminders there are skipped, not delayed
"Daily limit reached" noticeFree allowance is spent for the day. In-app keeps working; the counter resets at 00:00 UTC
