The Lap Records tab shows the fastest laps set by team members — organized by Track + Car and Track + Car Class, with separate All-Time and season boards.
How records are created
Lap records are computed automatically when a member imports or uploads a session — for every team they belong to.
A session does not need to be shared on the Sessions tab to count toward lap records.
Records update when new sessions are processed against the team's filter settings in Settings.
No retroactive records from past membership
Lap records are only checked at import time — for teams you belong to when the session is processed.
Sessions you imported before joining a team do not appear on that team's Lap Records tab. Re-importing the same session after joining may add a record if it beats an existing time and matches the team's filters.
All-Time vs seasons
| Board | What it tracks |
|---|---|
| All-Time | The team's lifetime best for each track + car/class + dry/wet key |
| Season | The best within a team-defined date window (name + start/end dates in UTC) |
Both boards are updated independently. A lap can:
- Break All-Time only
- Break a season only (faster than the season best, but not All-Time)
- Break both on the same import
Owners and admins create seasons under Settings → Lap record seasons. Season start and end dates are UTC calendar dates.
Creating a season seeds the board by copying current All-Time rows whose session date falls in the window (no Discord for that seed). That is a snapshot of today’s All-Time board filtered by date — not a full rebuild of every historical lap in the period. After create, new imports update the season normally when the race date is in range.
Seasons without records can be deleted. To close a season early, edit its end date (keeps the board and history). Deleting an empty season removes that season’s history as well.
Record types
| Type | Scope |
|---|---|
| Car | Fastest lap for a specific track + car combination |
| Class | Fastest lap for a track + car class (e.g. Hypercar, LMP2) |
Dry and wet bests are tracked separately.
Filters and rivalry
Browse records with:
- Board (All-Time or a season)
- Track and driver filters
- Car / class type filter
- Dry / wet weather filter
The table also shows:
- Δ vs the previous holder on that board (click for history)
- A New badge for records set in the last 7 days
- A link from the lap time to the source session when available
- A Most records strip for the current filtered list
Default session filters
Team Settings controls which sessions count for records:
- Default session modes: Offline + Online
- Default session types: Race only
Owners and admins can adjust these filters in Settings.
Deleting records
Only the team owner can delete lap records (individual records or clear all) via the API; the UI may show delete for admins as well depending on role.
Lap records vs shared sessions
| Lap Records | Shared Sessions | |
|---|---|---|
| Appears when | Member imports any matching session | Member manually shares (or auto-share) |
| Purpose | Fastest lap leaderboard | Full session result browsing |
| Privacy | Based on import + team filters | Deliberate team library share |
